Probing Dynamic Heterogeneity and Amorphous Order Using Rotational Dynamics of Rodlike Particles in Supercooled Liquids

Probing dynamic and static correlation in glass-forming supercooled liquids has been a challenge for decades spite of extensive research. Dynamic which manifests itself as Heterogeneity is ubiquitous vast variety systems starting from molecular liquids, dense colloidal to collections cells. On the other hand, mere concept these disordered remain somewhat elusive its existence still actively debated. We propose novel method extract both correlations using rod-like particles probe. This can be implemented experiments well soft matter including biologically relevant systems. also rationalize observed log-normal like distribution rotational decorrelation time elongated probe molecules reported experimental studies along with proposal methodology lengths experiments.
